willowing with the o'briens

welcome to willows beach.....

this is the closest beach to our house 
(about a ten minute bike ride away)

however, 
we didn't come to play in the sand this lovely evening...

 but to listen to an outdoor summer concert...

the o'briens came to perform 

so we could dance and sing to all our favourite songs.

they couldn't have picked a more beautiful venue...

and the size of the crowd was just right...

originally from england, the o'brien family have been resident victorians since 2004.

the family band consist of paul (dad), millie (age20), cormac (18), and fintan (17).

this night (july 16th)...

they opened with 'cecilia' by paul simon then continued with so many favourites like leonard cohen's hallelujah, sarah mclachlan's "in the arms of an angel", jason mraz 's "i'm yours"...

but this free spirited crowd went crazy when they performed pharell williams 'happy'.

i think it's my favourite song for this summer

i love love love free outdoor summer concerts...

it makes getting together with friends so easy...

and what wonderful way to spend an evening... 

 great music and watching people boogie at the park !!!
