hello monday:05/04/15

hello monday !!!
it's a brand new week
the weatherman is predicting lovely throughout
so today, i'm joining lisa to greet the week and all it has to offer.

here are some hellos...

hello calliope... the neighbourhood alley cat.  every morning she sits on her fence post waiting for harlow and i to go by.  some days she'll come down to rub against my leg, enough to get harlow to want to cross the road (harlow's definitely afraid of her)

hello long days that are getting longer:  sunrise at six and sundown at nine is one of the best things about this time of the year.  it use to be just harlow, me and my flashlight walking in the early morning,  but now with all the light, we are accompanied by so many others.  it has been taking longer to do our route because harlow has to say hello to everyone.

hello dirty fingernails that just won't clean... i've been gardening ungloved so much last week that it seems that the dirt is now permanently embedded (sigh...)  my sweet daughter has offered to give me a french manicure (yay...)

hello feeling contented... there is a permanent smile on my face, and i'm sure this state of happiness or satisfaction i feel lately comes from working and spending lots of time in the garden.  

hello hiking with an old friend (later today) and getting all caught up again.

hello one more cup of coffee... then i'm ready!!!
