clear the deck

the temperature hit the mid twenties (celsius) this past weekend.

perfect... because we procrastinated all summer from staining our deck.

every other year... when the back deck beckons for its paint job 

we keep our fingers crossed that september will prove itself again 

as one of the balmiest months in victoria.

well, at least balmy enough to dry and seal the stain.

so we cleared the deck...

power washed all the surfaces 

(thanks to dave and chrissie for loaning us the machine.)

went for a great hike while waiting for the deck to dry...

then ian put on his dancing shoes and cha cha chaed with the roller brush !!!

he did a wonderful job... 

our beloved deck looks as good as new.

now, to just get all the stuff 

that has been sprawled throughout our yard (both front and back) 

returned to their proper place.

doesn't it seem that the more you cross off your to-do list, 

the more gets added on?
