fun stuff 06/16/15

the teal scrap blanket is still on the needles.
i think i'm past the half way mark.
the ocean breeze cools our evenings down quite a bit,
so knitting a blanket is still a pleasure around here !!

i'm still working and struggling through this
illustrated and abridged version of moby dick.
gosh...melville can be pedantic at times !!!
but i am determined to get through it....

i've also picked up a wonderful french conversation workbook...
june is a very busy month around here...but ten minutes a day is doable
what are you knitting? reading?
care to share?

  2. Absolutely loving (!) your blanket. I've been looking for a project to take up on our summer holidays...something like this might just fit the bill because I could take up just a handful of scraps each time we go and continue on where I left off. Thanks so much for sharing your progress.

  4. The teal blanket is going to be like wrapping a warm sea around you! It's looking great. I'm about to start a cushion cover with all my yarn leftovers - it's fun using so many different colours in one project.

  6. I admire anyone who tackles Moby Dick. I've tried a few times and I cannot get very far. And I have a degree in English literature, for goodness sake! I am interested on whether you decide it is worth reading in the end.

  7. I think I said something similarly last week, but I do love how that scrap blanket looks. The colors you're using look great together.

  8. Good for you on sticking with Melville that is awesome.
I should send you my blanket to finish knitting, it is in time out right now due to the oppressive heat!
