fun stuff : collecting scrap

since we are en route,
i thought that for this week i would share some pictures of my
scrap blanket collection.
i have had so much fun making these...
from collecting thrifted scrap yarn, 
thrifting and unravelling old scarves and sweaters 
and playing with colour combinations.

so far, i have given two away as gifts (a burgundy/rose/pink; an indigo blue/purple) 
and now wish that i had photographs of them.
oh well...now on to new colour combinations !!!

    Holy cow! That is a lot of scrap blankets! They are gorgeous, and I need to really do something like this, I do have a lot of scrap yarn. I keep telling myself I will, and then I never do...

    These look amazing. I was just saying to my hubby that I should make blankets with my old sweaters as I have so much trouble parting with them but really they are so old. LOL
