knitting and reading: 01/13/15

simple knits...
that's where i'm at.

one of my resolutions for 2015 is to make more gifts.
my needles are busy attempting some ideas for dishcloths.
so far, i'm only onto to my second piece
but am excited to showcase the set
once they are completed.

i'm still in the middle of re-reading the catcher in the rye
i had to stop because the copy my son lent me was missing a couple of pages,
so i'm waiting for a fresh copy from the library before i continue on holden's quest.

in the meantime, i finished me before you by jojo moyes.
it was a page turner... a love story like no other.
if you haven't read it yet,
i'm warning you now...you'll need a couple of boxes of tissues.

what are you knitting or reading lately?
care to share?

  1. I have a similar goal this year. I want to make more gifts, but I want to make them early, so I'm starting right now. Washcloths are next up on my list after I finish my little cozies. Hopping over from KCCO.

  11. I'm usually knitting dishcloths in between my other knitting. It's nice to have a small portable project. I love the colours of yours!

  12. Even now that I'm branching off a bit and attempting a bit more challenging knitting, I always come back to dishcloths. I love making them... such an easy sense of accomplishment. To have a project start and be don in one day. It's awesome. :-) The colors are lovely.
