unravelling

i've been unravelling for the last few days....

i found this gorgeous half sweater at my
favourite thrift shop sometime last spring.
i'm calling it a half sweater because its body
only comes down below the breast line.

it's a very interesting piece because
as much as the body is super short,
its sleeves are extra long.

it has all the beautiful autumn colours:
rusts, oranges, golds, mustards and even some fushia.

the variegation is stunning...
making the piece irresistible for this thrifty knitter.

for the last few years now,
i've been scouring thrift shop dollar bins and
buying up old scarves for their yarn...
and unravelling them for repurposing.

this was my first sweater to unravel.

i'm almost done...
and my knitting needles are eager to go.
