aaahh september...you are here already!!!
i've got two blankets on the go,
i must say...it is quite satisfying to be working both ends of the colour spectrum.
i've just finished unravelling an orange/pumpkin and a lilac thrifted sweater(s),
so i have loads of reusable yarn to play with.
i'm still working through jeff krasno's wanderlust workbook i found last week

also, i'm reading cecile andrew's classic the circle of simplicity
not only is it a wonderful quick read (i'm more than half way through)
but so much of it resonates with me.
i love love love her idea of a simplicity circle (a community or group that comes together to share and strengthen each other's endeavours to simplify life)
i might just start one !!
what are you knitting? reading?
care to share?

Oh aren't they both so beautiful. It's lovely to see them both grow and it must be great for breaking up knitting boredom. Plus with winter coming you can have one to knit and one for your knees!!
ReplyDeletelike the looks of the book! your knitting is lovely and you can never have too many blankets :)
ReplyDeleteCan you believe September is here already? I am thrilled.
ReplyDeleteI am going have to ready your book, it sounds like something
I would love; I am always trying to make my like simpler.
Both of those blankets are lovely! Does which one you work on depend on the weather outside?
ReplyDeleteVery nice blankets, I like that they are such different colour palettes so you can work on either one depending what mood you're in :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blankets and such wonderful colours.
ReplyDeleteOh, those colors! Delightful. I like the idea of a simplicity circle. It's easier to do just about anything with a like minded community cheering you on.
ReplyDeleteBlankets are my favourite projects to knit - and yours are lovely!
ReplyDeleteI just added that book to my list. I like that idea! Such pretty blankets. Great to be working on in September!
ReplyDeleteYour knitting looks interesting! Cushy!
ReplyDeleteThe book sounds interesting, too!
oh the colours that you are knitting up are wonderful, and very suited to September I think! It's been cold here in Greater Manchester and I picked up a forgotten half-worked crochet blanket last night, feeling inspired to make something cuddly for Autumn :) I'm reading the Tao of Pooh (as in Winne the Pooh) and i love it :) jenny xx
