fun stuff: sunny

my sunny scrap blanket is growing slowly these days
we leave for home in two days
yet we find there is still so much we want to see of this city.

here is the blanket by the back window of our rented apartment,
looking out into all our neighbour's shuttered windows
and our little courtyard down below.
the shakespeare & co. bookstore was giving away a pile of books last week.
if you take in account the number of tourists that have descended upon the city,
the chance of us picking up one of those free books was less than winning a lottery.
well, the stars were aligned for me that day...because i picked up two paperbacks.
i have started reading both...
so far, they are pretty good reads.

what are you knitting? reading?
care to share?

  1. I hope you have safe travels home. I know you are going to miss where you are but there is nothing like going back to regular home life :)

  2. What a pretty blanket! I worked on a cowl during my vacation, but I have a hard time making myself knit in the I've barely picked it up since I got home. I read the condition a few years ago and enjoyed it very much. Right now I'm on the search for a good summer novel.

  3. Enjoy the last two days and have a safe trip back home!

  4. Enjoy the last bit of your trip, and safe travels home.

  5. Enjoy the last days of your adventure. Take lots of pictures and make great memories!

  6. Gorgeous blanket. Hope you have a lovely last few days and safe journey home.

  7. Oh that blanket is going to have so many wonderful memories knitted into it - what a lovely souvenir of an amazing trip to Paris!

thank you for your kind words... they really do make my day !!!
