everyone warned me that the jet lag would be worst for the return home
and guess what...they were right,
we had great flight schedules from paris to victoria,
leaving at 1:30 pm (paris) and arriving at 8:30 pm (victoria).
i thought i was so smart and planned on not sleeping on the flight and getting into the right sleeping schedule immediately upon arrival
what i didn't plan for...was catching a stomach bug, a kinked neck and shoulder pain from sitting 10 hours on the plane and another heat wave to contend with...
i hadn't felt that terrible in ages (every muscle...even my fingertips were in pain)!!!
to shorten this long saga...and if you're wondering what i've been up to,
i have been sleeping for the last two days.
thank goodness for the long weekend,
and thank goodness for recovery...even if it is slow!!!
i'm so happy to be home (even if it looks like a bomb exploded in every room)
but i have to say that i'm finding myself missing paris and all its parisienness,
especially the gardens and all the magnificent fountains.
so yesterday,
we went for a quick stroll around our favourite public garden
just to remind ourselves of the bountiful beauty of where we live.

Oh no, sorry your return home didn't go as smoothly as you would have liked. I always find the return home from that part of the world the hardest, takes a few days to get back into it. Hope this week finds you feeling much better.
ReplyDeleteTake care. xo
Yikes! That's a hard landing! Travel does have its downsides -- but it's worth it, especially for a long stay in Paris!
